You make thousands of decisions everyday, What to wear, What to have for breakfast, What Starbucks drink you want and the like. Beyond the typical decisions like those, you have to make decisions that are life changing. Where am I going to College? Who am I going to Marry? Should I take this job? I believe that with every decision you have, you come to a fork in the road. You either choose your way, or Gods way (Just like the picture provided above!).
Last summer I became terribly depressed, going into great sin against my self. I felt as if I was drowning and I had no life raft. What I didn't realize was that I had a life saver right next to me but because I chose my own way, I told God, "No I can swim this," when I wasn't meant to swim this life alone. God wanted to deliver me from my depression and anxiety, but I didn't choose it. I feel often times when we are struggling with something we don't understand how easy it can be to beat it. We are concquers with Christ! As soon as I decided to choose God instead of the way I was feeling, Everything from there turned around. My mood had lifted, I was almost completely healed from Anxiety and Depression, and there was hope. Flash forward to this summer and college is now my choice. I had prayed about college, and I got the ball rolling, but God shifted me in different directions. I chose to trust and to choose Him during this time, because otherwise things would not have worked out the way they should have. In conclusion, Choose the Lord today. Not tomorrow, or the next choice, but in everything you do, choose Him. [:
