Every year I have to go to the eye doctor to get my eyes checked. I am nearsighted and also blind so I have to always get new prescriptions. Usually I notice when my prescription changes but sometimes I don't. I find this true in my life. As I laid in my bed crying about some guy, I just started talking to God. He opened my eyes to what was really going on in my heart. I need to adjust my eyes to different areas in my life that slip. Just because you think you are good in one spot that's usually where you begin to deplete. Where are your eyes?
I focused so much on the negative stuff , and it was really hurting myself and my relationship with God. I wasn't thinking of the beautiful blessings I have, but I was doing exactly the opposite of what it says in 1 Corinthians, 13, I was keeping a record of wrongs, but against myself. God was just about to kick the door down in my heart until I finally realized this! I need to forgive myself also, and just look up to God. I encourage you to examine your heart and ask God for an examination of your eyes. Where is your focus? Where should it be? Honestly, giving him all the glory and adoration is so worth it because He is worth it. :) Colossians 3:2-4 Set your minds in things above, not in earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, ten you also will appear with him in glory.
